Capturing sweeping panoramic views across open pasture to the Macedon Ranges, this luxurious off-grid lifestyle property is set on 50 acres (approx.) with native paddocks, bushland, dramatic hilltop boulders, and remarkable infrastructure creating a rare rural escape of architectural integrity and self-sufficient ease.

Conceived to last generations by renowned architect Andrew F. Bell and inspired by the work of Glenn Murcutt, the recently renovated residence celebrates corrugated iron highlights, 3.2m ceilings, ultra-high doors, Tasmanian Oak polished hardwood flooring, and swathes of glass encouraging northern and southern light. Front and rear verandas draw the surrounding landscape close, with the wisteria-trellised rear veranda and fenced garden providing a beautiful setting for long lunches and winter sunsets.

Central to the build is a designer kitchen appointed with porcelain benchtops, abundant storage, a Westinghouse gas oven and cooktop, dishwasher, and a Eureka wood-fuelled heater, surrounded by open dining and living areas where a 2nd wood-fuelled heater with polished concrete surrounds creates a striking focal point. Four generous bedrooms include two with access to the eastern veranda, while the main bedroom enjoys a shower ensuite. The central bathroom offers fully tiled luxury with both a shower and bath, complemented by a 3rd WC to the laundry, and a storage room.

The off-grid experience is supported by passive heating and cooling, high-grade insulation to the walls and floor, central heating, thickened/double-glazed windows and doors, a new solar battery with 32kWh storage, a 2-car carport, and gravelled parking area.

Beyond the home, the acreage opens to native forest and open paddocks, attracting abundant birdlife and wildlife, while lifestyle assets include a laser-level granitic sand tennis court and golf tee/driving range.

Equestrian and rural infrastructure is extensive, with an Olympic-sized arena, water to every paddock via the dam or troughs, post-and-rail holding yards, and a 4-bay high-clearance shed with one enclosed bay and roller door. There are three dams, including one with a pontoon and one spring-fed, along with 2 x 25,000-litre water tanks.

Just 5 minutes (approx.) from Lancefield, with its cafés, cellar doors, the local pub, and monthly farmers' market, and within a 1-hour drive of Melbourne's CBD, this exceptional holding offers a profound sense of stillness, from kangaroos grazing near the veranda to birdsong over morning coffee, creating a place that lingers long after departure.
