Only just completed, the inspired renovation by Neil Architects of this majestic Hawthorn brick Victorian residence has created a remarkable family domain where evocative elegance, bespoke design and family functionality are in perfect harmony.
Nestled behind a lush, landscaped garden and L-shaped verandah, the original rooms are replete with limed Baltic pine floors, soaring ornate ceilings and plantation shutters. An imposing double arched entrance hall introduces a gracious sitting room with marble fireplace and the versatile executive office or guest (fifth) bedroom with a gas fireplace, bay window and an adjacent stylish bathroom. With concrete ceilings, hydronic heated oak floors, an original brick feature wall, open fire and abundant glazing, the expansive open plan living and dining room is rich in character and warmth. The stunning gourmet kitchen is impeccably appointed with marble benches, Miele appliances, integrated Liebherr fridge/freezer and a butler’s pantry. Full width floor to ceiling glass sliders allow the living spaces to seamlessly connect to a gorgeous private north-facing decked courtyard with built in concrete benches, all surrounded by greenery.
Generously proportioned family accommodation upstairs comprises the beautiful north-facing main bedroom with lavish walk in robes and a designer ensuite, a second king-sized bedroom with marble fireplace, built in robes, ensuite and an L-shaped balcony, two additional double bedrooms with marble fireplaces and a fourth bathroom with bath.
Enjoying a wonderful lifestyle location close to Chapel Street’s restaurants and shops, Windsor station, trams, Victoria Gardens and a range of schools, it includes hydronic heating, RC/air-conditioning, heated bathroom floors, Euro-laundry, irrigation, underground water tank, auto gates and an internally accessed garage via the side right of way.
