First light filters through the tree ferns, the sky glimmers over Silvan Reservoir and the whole landscape seems to wake up beyond the glass. Set across ¾ acre (2,561m² approx.), this beautifully presented hills home has been cleverly designed around its east-facing outlook, pairing treetop serenity with genuinely usable land and easy access to Mount Evelyn Village just down the mountain.

The main living level makes the most of the view at every opportunity. Floor skimming windows frame the reservoir and surrounding greenery, while the open-plan living and meals zone feels warm and relaxed with a toasty open fireplace ready to take the edge off cooler hills days.

At its centre, the renovated kitchen brings a polished contemporary finish with a 900mm DeLonghi gas cooktop and electric oven, dishwasher and social breakfast bar. It is a space made for connection, whether that means coffee while the sun comes up, school-day breakfasts or friends lingering nearby while dinner comes together.

Doors extend the living zone to the deck, where quiet morning cuppas come with birdsong and summer barbecues unfold against a spectacular natural backdrop of lush tree ferns.

Also on this level, the main bedroom enjoys its own private position with a generous walk-in robe, ensuite and those same seemingly endless views.

Downstairs, three additional robed bedrooms form a separate accommodation wing alongside a sitting area which could easily become a cosy reading nook or a dedicated home office. It gives teenagers, guests or larger families valuable space to spread out without feeling disconnected.

Outside, the land is remarkably usable for a hills property. Three flat lawn areas provide room for children, pets or entertaining, while a generous paddock opens up possibilities for chooks, a productive veggie patch or simply more space to enjoy. A side alfresco offers another sheltered place to sit, and a magnificent fruiting fig tree, believed to be around 150 years old, brings a wonderful sense of history to the garden.

Vehicle and storage options are equally impressive, with a tandem carport, double powered garage, caravan parking and vast under-house workshop or storage space. A 9kVA generator with mains switch adds welcome peace of mind, while ducted heating and split-system comfort keep the home ready for every season.

Set within Kalorama’s much-loved hills community, the home is around two kilometres from the general store and post office, close to Mount Evelyn Village and within easy reach of Montrose and the villages of The Dandenong Ranges. Walking trails, parks and lookouts are woven into everyday life here, along with the kind of community spirit that gives the hills their enduring appeal.
