Poowong, renowned for its rich pastoral countryside and spectacular views is the location for this charming country cottage on approx two acres of elevated land.
For the tradie or buyer seeking storage, there is an approximate 8m x 15m high clearance shed with power, one lock-up and two open bays.
The cottage includes a cosy living and dining area, functional kitchen with a gas upright cooker and breakfast bar, three bedrooms with generous storage, single bedroom or study, sunroom, modern bathroom, separate toilet and a laundry with a linen press.
Bright and airy, the bathroom has a shower, bath and vanity unit whereas original timber flooring throughout is a link to the past.
A solid fuel heater, split system air conditioners in the main bedroom and living area together with ceiling fans and external blinds keep the interior warm in winter and cool in summer whilst solar panels reduce power bills.
On the northern side, a covered deck is perfect for an outdoor meal with wonderful views across picturesque farmland.
There is also a semi-enclosed porch for access to the cottage, a fernery and underhouse storage.
Water is provided by two large tanks off the shed plus two smaller poly tanks for household use.
Secure fencing around the house will keep family pets and young children contained, the large fenced paddock at the rear with a loose box and water trough is ideal for a pony or other livestock.
Gardens in the house yard are low maintenance with neat lawn and a variety of ornamental trees.
The township of Poowong, with a highly regarded primary school, kinder, pub, post office, IGA and a broad range of recreational facilities is a two minute drive, the charming village of Loch and the South Gippsland Highway are approx six minutes.
Korumburra and Drouin are approximately 20 minutes and there are good bus links from Poowong to a choice of secondary schools.
Combining country charm, space for activities and a superb setting, this could be the lifestyle opportunity you have been looking for.
