'Bromley', 1920 - this faithfully renovated Californian Bungalow combines original period charm with modern comforts, set behind a traditional hoop wire fence on one of Mentone's best streets, just 200m from the beach.

An abundance of period features remain beautifully intact, including brick tuck pointing, original stained glass windows, ornate timber fretwork, exposed brick walls, picture rails and skirting boards, three open fireplaces, Baltic floorboards and soaring 3m ceilings.

Inviting double front doors open from the veranda into a wide central hallway, leading to two large bedrooms with built-in robes, a spacious living room and a Hamptons style kitchen and dining room. A large bathroom, laundry with rear yard access and a versatile third bedroom or study complete the floorplan.

The living area flows out to a private brick patio and entertaining area, perfect for family barbecues and outdoor enjoyment. Further highlights include off-street parking for two cars on a corner block of approx. 416sqm, ducted heating and a large attic with ladder access for extra storage.

Ideally located just a short stroll to Mentone Village and its dining precinct, Mentone Railway Station, the beach and Mentone Life Saving Club, this home is also walking distance to a host of elite schools including Mentone Grammar, Mentone Girls' Grammar, St Bede's, Kilbreda and Mentone Girls' Secondary College.
