Tucked away amid a beautifully maintained 1.61 ha (4 acres) Hills property, this established sanctuary offers something increasingly rare, genuine privacy, space, self-sufficiency, 2 homes and a wonderfully warm family atmosphere. The main home was built by the highly regarded Terry McKie Homes, this main residence has an enduring charm, thoughtful renovations and the kind of character that many seek. Step inside the main residence and there is an immediate sense of timeless quality. High ceilings, handmade detailed cornices, beautiful jarrah windows and natural slate flooring combine with updated carpets and feature barn doors to create a home that is both character-filled and comfortable.
At the heart of the home is the newly renovated kitchen, completed in 2026 and designed for practical family living. Engineered stone benchtops, tiled splashbacks, an induction cooktop, Bosch electric oven and dishwasher make this a stylish and functional space, while the adjoining living areas provide an inviting place for everyone to gather. A Jarrahdale slow-combustion fire with wetback brings cosy winter evenings and practical warmth, complemented by solar hot water for everyday efficiency.
Wide verandahs wrap around the home, extending the living outdoors and providing the perfect places to sit quietly, watch the gardens change with the seasons or enjoy a morning coffee surrounded by nature. The established gardens have been thoughtfully created to be both beautiful and relatively low maintenance.
For guests, teenagers, extended family or those wanting additional space, Lily Cottage is a wonderful bonus. With two bedrooms, a bathroom, open-plan living beneath a charming raked ceiling, plus a new kitchen and bathroom, it offers genuine independence and flexibility.
Outside, the property truly comes into its own. A large workshop with three-phase power and lean-to, newly built garage/wood shed and carport provide excellent infrastructure, while netted vegetable gardens, established fruit trees and extensive rainwater collection support a more self-sufficient way of life.
And then there is the pool. Set within its own paved entertaining area, it is made for carefree summer days; swimming, relaxing in the hammock, entertaining friends and simply enjoying the feeling that, for a while, the rest of the world is a very long way away.
With internal fencing around the home for free roaming children and pets, established sustainable infrastructure and acres of beautiful bushland to explore, this is a rare opportunity to secure a private Hills lifestyle where comfort, character, family and self-sufficiency come together beautifully.
