A Grand Country Estate Inspired by Victorian Heritage
Timeless Country Living Moments from the Portarlington Coast
From Pasture to Prestige: A Remarkable Coastal Country Homestead

From humble beginnings as a gorse-covered pasture, this remarkable property has been transformed into a meticulously curated country estate, reflecting the owners’ vision of blending timeless heritage with modern comfort. Styled on the grand 19th-century Australian Inns and Pubs of the Victorian era, the impressive homestead sits majestically within beautifully structured, mature gardens—offering a rare country atmosphere in a coveted coastal location.

The home’s unique upside-down design places the main living spaces upstairs, where a charming farmhouse-style kitchen with walk-in pantry and light-filled living area showcase stunning century-old reclaimed Blackbutt timber flooring sourced from the Port Adelaide Woolshed. French doors open onto a wraparound timber balcony, perfectly positioned to take in sweeping views of the established cottage gardens below. Downstairs, a second formal lounge opens onto a paved wraparound terrace, creating seamless indoor-outdoor living.

The residence offers four generous bedrooms, including a spacious upstairs master retreat complete with the same heritage Blackbutt flooring, a large walk-in robe and a beautifully appointed farmhouse-style ensuite featuring a clawfoot bath, dual shower and ornate timber vanity. Three additional bedrooms downstairs include built-in robes and large windows overlooking the gardens, serviced by a well-proportioned family bathroom.

Outdoor living is equally enchanting, with peaceful garden paths winding through hedgerows and rose gardens to a secluded firepit area. A netted vegetable garden with raised beds, apple orchard and chook run provide the perfect ingredients for sustainable country living.

Additional features include a well-appointed laundry with ample storage, split-system heating and cooling complemented by Nobo panel heaters, and thoughtfully incorporated reclaimed materials including 100-year-old red bricks salvaged from the former Scotch College Music Hall.

A stunning tree-lined circular driveway leads to a large three-car garage, with abundant additional parking. The property also includes a large farm shed with car port , rear access from Pigdon Street, three 25,000L water tanks, a natural pond with fish and frogs, recyclable septic system, and an adjoining five-acre paddock.

Ideally positioned on the outskirts of Portarlington, just minutes from the town centre and beach, this exceptional property offers the perfect balance of coastal convenience and idyllic rural charm.
