Combining the character of an inner-city warehouse with the tranquillity of a stunning bushland setting, this extraordinary lifestyle property offers a rare opportunity to enjoy space, privacy and individuality across approximately 8.5 acres of picturesque Anakie countryside.

Renovated while retaining its distinctive original character, this remarkable two-storey residence showcases solid mud-brick walls, reclaimed timber trusses from the historic Barwon Woollen Mills, soaring ceilings, exposed beamwork and reclaimed brick flooring. The result is a unique blend of industrial-inspired design and rural charm.

The expansive living zone captures breathtaking, uninterrupted views across the Anakie Sisters, Barrabool Hills, Geelong and the You Yangs, extending towards Melbourne. Impressive entry doors and antique barn doors allow you to embrace the surrounding landscape while creating a warm and inviting living environment.

Offering five bedrooms and three bathrooms, the home provides flexible accommodation for families, with one bedroom also offering the potential to create an additional living area or home office. The main bedroom features reverse-cycle heating and cooling, a ceiling fan and access to a private balcony through vintage French doors, capturing elevated views across the surrounding acreage.

The beautifully appointed country-style kitchen combines character with modern functionality, featuring stone benchtops, a 900mm gas cooktop and two ovens. A spacious lounge with a wood-fired Coonara, dedicated mudroom and reverse-cycle air conditioning to the bedrooms further enhance everyday comfort.

Outside, the property embraces a genuine rural lifestyle, with established fruit trees, a small orchard, greenhouse, dog run, workshop, enclosed chicken run and two dams. Four rainwater tanks provide approximately 34,000 litres of water storage, complemented by a septic treatment plant and a 5.5kW solar system.

A fenced home block surrounds the residence, while kangaroos, echidnas, native birdlife and soaring wedge-tailed eagles add to the peaceful bushland atmosphere.

Despite its secluded feel, the property is conveniently located approximately 20 minutes from Lara, Geelong and Avalon Airport, with Melbourne's CBD around an hour away.

A renovated, one-of-a-kind rural escape offering architectural character, spectacular views and the freedom of acreage living, all within easy reach of town.
