Set among the vines and some of the most picturesque scenery in the Yarra Valley, this landmark character residence carries more than a century of history. From a time of horse-and-buggy journeys, when the magnificent oak trees were planted with care, the remarkable 2-acre approx. property has witnessed generations pass through its old walls, carrying stories of the past with the hope of a new future.

Time and the elements have taken their toll, and the home now requires extensive restoration, reimagining, or a rebuild (STCA). Character remains in its vine-clad front verandah, soaring ceilings, decorative corbel archway, deep skirting boards, Baltic pine floors and tall windows that frame verdant pastures and Mount Dandenong in the distance.

An arrangement of rooms offers flexibility for multiple living areas and bedrooms, alongside a bathroom and separate powder room, while the rear extension introduces a modern open living space with a stone-topped kitchen. The rear deck overlooks the vineyard with Christmas Hills providing a dramatic backdrop. The property also features a wood fire, reverse cycle heating and cooling, a separate laundry or studio, and a large garage.

Serenely secluded behind the trees, close to Yering Primary School, Yarra Glen and Colstream, this is a rare opportunity in the heart of the Yarra Valley to honour the past while creating something extraordinary for generations to come.
