A genuinely beautiful family home in one of Carnegie's best locations, combining the character of a classic Edwardian with a renovation that has been designed around how a family actually lives.
The home has four generous bedrooms, all with fitted robes, zoned refrigerated heating, cooling and plenty of storage. The master bedroom has a large walk in robe with custom cabinetry, drawers and hanging space, plus a private ensuite with double vanity and oversized shower. The main bathroom too has a double vanity, large shower and full size bath, with a separate powder room and vanity for guests.
The main living area is the real heart of the home. The kitchen, dining and living spaces all sit beneath a large raked ceiling, creating a bright and open space that feels great to live in. The kitchen has plenty of storage, a large walk in pantry with its own sink and cabinetry, space for two fridge and freezer units, a dedicated wine fridge space and a separate bar area.
At the rear is a second living or rumpus room which can be completely closed off from the main living area. It works brilliantly as a kids' space, second lounge, home office.
Outside there is a tiled undercover alfresco overlooking the rear lawn, with plenty of room to entertain while still having a proper backyard for the family to enjoy. There is also a large 4.5m x 5.5m lockable shed with keypad access, giving you excellent storage or workshop space.
The house has 8 zoned ducted electric heating and cooling throughout, instantaneous gas hot water, an alarm system, secure keypad pedestrian entry and a remote electric driveway gate. There is secure off street parking for up to three cars, along with gated access down both sides of the home.
The location is hard to beat, Koonang Road is only a short walk away for some of Melbourne's best local cafés, restaurants and shops, with train, tram and bus options all walkable and close by.
It's a home that has been properly thought through, with great storage, multiple living spaces, excellent security and all the small practical details that make family life easier.
