Commanding a blue ribbon address in the heart of Carlton North, footsteps from Rathdowne Village, this stunning c1910 Federation home has been architecturally transformed for luxury executive living with a spectacular vertical extension by Williams Boag. A masterful fusion of classic period splendour and state-of-the-art contemporary design, it boasts sumptuous accommodation with sky views from every room and a deluxe rooftop deck enjoying a sweeping CBD panorama.

Set along an iconic heritage streetscape, the gracious red-brick façade opens onto a deep hallway graced with timber fretwork and Baltic pine floors. At the front is an opulent lounge (or bedroom) with a granite-framed fireplace, second king-sized bedroom and resort-style bathroom with a sunken bath and open shower, overlooking the tranquil fern-filled lightwell. Dressed in heated burnished concrete floors at the back is a gourmet kitchen with Corian and stainless-steel bench tops, premium Miele appliances (oven, combi steam oven, warming drawer and dishwasher), induction cooking and vast soft-closing custom cabinetry. A superb living and dining area spills via bi-fold glass doors onto a private deck framed by architect-designed gardens, which has rear ROW access. Enhanced by double-height atrium ceilings, the first floor has a huge main bedroom with a wall of built-in robes, walk-through dressing room and lavish twin ensuite. Nearby is a dedicated home office with a built-in workstation. An external circular staircase affords access to the crowning glory – a magnificent rooftop entertaining deck with a 360-degree district panorama that embraces breathtaking CBD views – complete with bench seating (or day beds).

Additionally, it includes a European laundry, Bosch alarm, hydronic heating, split-system heating/cooling, bespoke light fittings, heated towel rails, Somfy motorised outdoor blinds and garden irrigation. This exceptional home is enviably placed metres from beautiful Curtain Square, city-bound trams and boutique village shops, cafes and wine bars.
