Behind a secure electric gate in the tightly held Dorrington Estate, ‘Dorham’ presents an exceptional interpretation of heritage architecture and contemporary family living. Built in circa 1915 with solid double-brick construction, this distinguished residence has been comprehensively reimagined across 891sqm (approx.), retaining its enduring period character while introducing a refined, highly considered aesthetic of remarkable sophistication.

A commanding street presence, beautifully landscaped gardens and architectural lighting create an arrival of rare presence, with the illuminated magnolia and garage walls establishing an evocative evening ambience. Inside, soaring 3.3-metre ceilings, picture-moulded panelling, wide oak floors and floor-to-ceiling French linen curtains establish a palette of timeless warmth and understated luxury, drawing on the refined American aesthetic associated with Studio McGee.

A gracious panelled entrance hall introduces formal living and entertaining spaces of exceptional scale, including a sitting room centred around an operational open fireplace and framed by ceiling-height windows. A bespoke heritage-blue home office provides a sophisticated setting for work or private meetings, while discreet sliding doors allow the formal and family domains to be separated with ease.

At the heart of the home, expansive formal and informal living and dining areas converge around a suite of designer kitchen spaces, including a superbly appointed main kitchen with Miele appliances and a butler’s pantry, complemented by a second designer kitchen for effortless functionality. A dedicated wine room adds a further layer of distinction, while the seamless transition to the alfresco terrace creates an exceptional sense of continuity between interior and exterior entertaining.

Five bedrooms and three bathrooms are arranged across two levels, accompanied by versatile retreat and study spaces that elevate the home’s capacity for both family life and private retreat. Outside, an alfresco terrace with integrated barbecue bench overlooks established lawns, sophisticated landscaping and a spectacular heated 8m x 3m swimming pool. Secure garaging completes an address of considerable distinction, where architectural integrity, craftsmanship and contemporary refinement converge to memorable effect.
