Whatever your heart's desire, an off-grid, high-performance passive home or a sophisticated designer country escape, this unique offering presents an extraordinary opportunity surrounded by natural beauty. Within a private, serene pocket, this exceptional property is perfectly placed to enjoy the region's celebrated wineries and eateries, bringing an enviable country lifestyle within easy reach.

Architect designed in collaboration with the homeowners and inspired by the materiality and form of traditional rustic bush dwellings, this remarkable residence is a celebration of Corten steel and spotted gum with an I-beam constructed single carport, deliberately designed to echo the form of a galvanised water tank and stand. Exquisite designer interiors reveal an uncompromising eye for detail, exuding extraordinary warmth with reclaimed warehouse timber, recycled red brick and polished concrete floors.

Conceived as three individual dwellings beneath one roofline, the home incorporates an expansive combined kitchen, dining and living zone and private bedroom wing, separated by a glass topped hallway lined with heritage galvanised corrugated iron, representing exterior walls.

A triumph of considered design, the kitchen is anchored by a deep, rugged concrete stone topped island extending to a spotted gum dining table. Italian brass tapware, Billi boiling and chilled water tap, quality appliance and integrated fridge/freezer blending into timber grain cabinetry, a rich finish repeated in cabinetry throughout the home and into the fully fitted laundry.

Adding to the refined industrial aesthetic, a magnificent Cheminees Philippe Radiante cast-iron fireplace brings glowing warmth to the living zone and, by design, throughout the home. A soaring cathedral ceiling with reclaimed timber roof trusses adds a dramatic sense of volume, while recycled red brick feature wall and polished concrete provide not only visual warmth, but valuable thermal mass, helping maintain a comfortable environment through the depths of winter and summer heat.

A stunning glass ceiling flooding the space with light, and heritage galvanised-lined walls, carries the clever design into the bedroom wing, giving the impression of two separate dwellings from within, with master suite to one side and two further bedrooms on the other. Beneath its own soaring cathedral ceiling, the sumptuous master suite captures views across the garden and introduces a beautifully appointed ensuite featuring Italian brass tapware and a hanging spotted gum vanity with Concrete Nation basin. The same meticulous attention to detail flows through the family bathroom, powder room and laundry.

Cleared 3.32-acre surrounds framed by bushland, provide a beautiful country setting, with lush lawns, native garden beds, productive vegetable patch and hard landscaping including a dry creek bed. A superb washed-aggregate alfresco area, topped with I-beam and heritage galvanised roofing, echoes the architectural language used throughout the home and provides an exceptional private setting for entertaining.

Sustainability has been thoughtfully integrated without compromising design. No power or watyer bills with a substantial 11kW solar system mounted on the shed, together with 19.9kW battery storage, while 80,000lts of water storage (tanks) provides a reliable year-round supply. HRV ventilation system, Miglas double glazed windows, under-slab insulation, ceiling fan and individual heating and cooling units to each bedroom add further flexibility and comfort.
And for those who need serious space, a huge 7m x 13m (approx.) shed complete with large storage room provides exceptional versatility, complemented by garden shed conveniently positioned within the vegetable garden, woodshed and vast supply of firewood.

A rare blend of architectural ambition, sustainable off-grid design, rugged materials and refined contemporary interiors, this is country living elevated to an entirely different level. A private sanctuary for those who appreciate originality, craftsmanship and a home that is anything but ordinary.
