Most of what comes up for sale on Kennedy Drive was built decades ago. This wasn't.

Completed in late 2023 and still covered by the statutory builder's warranty, 8/201 is quite possibly the newest townhouse on the market in Tweed Heads West. Set at the rear of a boutique complex of twelve, well back from the road and north-facing for natural light throughout the day, it offers something rare at this end of the Tweed: a modern home you can simply move into.

The kitchen is the heart of the home, and it's a generous one. A large island and breakfast bar, stone benchtops, Bosch appliances, two pantries and enough storage that nothing needs to live on the bench. It's built for people who cook regularly and for evenings where everyone ends up gathered around the island.

The kitchen, dining and living areas run together as one open-plan, air-conditioned space and flow through sliding doors to a covered alfresco and private gated courtyard, backing onto the complex's landscaped green space. Dinner moves outside without anyone leaving the conversation, and the courtyard works as an extra room for most of the year.

A dedicated study nook makes working from home easy, while a downstairs powder room, internal laundry and double lock-up garage with internal access take care of the practical side. Visitor parking is directly adjacent.

Upstairs is the quiet zone. The oversized master suite has a walk-in robe, ensuite, ceiling fan and air conditioning. Two further bedrooms with built-in robes share a family bathroom with a separate toilet, and every room has ceiling fans and screens, so the coastal breeze does most of the work.

The location puts the best of the southern Gold Coast and the Tweed within easy reach. Ten minutes to a morning swim at Kirra, a surf at the Superbank or breakfast in Coolangatta. Five minutes to Tweed City, with the river, local schools and sporting fields close by, and the M1 only minutes away for trips to Brisbane or Byron. Gold Coast Airport is around ten minutes away for the early flight.

Who this suits

Downsizers who want a lock-up-and-leave home with a private garage and no lift lobby. Professionals who fly in and out or work at the airport, John Flynn, Tweed Valley Hospital or Southern Cross University. First home buyers who'd rather move straight in than spend the first year renovating. Anyone who wants a modern home near the coast without paying Kirra, Coolangatta or Rainbow Bay prices.
