The Barwon Estuary sweeps towards the bridge and Barwon Heads, giving this elevated Old Ocean Grove home a visual outlook that changes by the hour. Beneath the mature gums sits an original weatherboard of generous proportions, 600 sqm of land and a compelling opportunity to take the view further.

Of exceptional scale, the main living room is the home’s defining space. Full height glazing opens the room to the elevated deck, timber floors and exposed ceiling beams. Afternoon light moves across the interior before giving way to sunset colour and the evening lights around the water.

The adjoining kitchen and meals area includes a Miele oven and dishwasher, gas cooktop and ample cabinetry with windows drawing in the surrounding greenery. A separate sitting room near the entry gives the floorplan valuable flexibility, while three bedrooms and two bathrooms accommodate family life with ease. The main bedroom adds built-in storage, split system comfort, deck access and its own outlook towards the estuary.

Beyond the house, established gardens, broad lawn and mature trees create privacy without closing out the sky. A detached 5.5m x 3.0m studio offers an independent place to work, create or accommodate guests, with a garden shed and off-street parking adding further practicality.

Retain the home’s relaxed weatherboard character, renovate with intent or explore an upper level addition designed to widen the panorama across the river mouth, bridge and Barwon Heads (STCA). The boat ramp, golf course, Groove Cafe, main beach and town centre are all within easy reach, but it is the outlook and the potential that sets this property apart.
